Story
El*Arquero is a 100% Australian-owned tequila, authentically produced in the town of Arandas in the Jaliscan Highlands.
Founded by Australian cricket great Adam Gilchrist, alongside his wife Mel and a group of lifelong mates and industry experts, El*Arquero was created with one clear mission: to craft a tequila made specifically for the Australian consumer.
Together, they travelled across the state of Jalisco, where the majority of the world’s tequila is produced, searching for a distillery that aligned with their core principles.
It was in the town of Arandas that they met the Bañuelos family, third-generation distillers who have been growing Blue Weber agave and crafting tequila for over 60 years. Their deep respect for tradition, land and process made them the perfect partners.
Together, they committed to producing a world-class, 100% additive-free tequila, made in the authentic Mexican tradition and naturally ultra-smooth in every sip.

Ingredients
100% Blue Weber Agave (6–7 years), pristine spring water, and natural yeast
Nose
Roasted pineapple, cooked agave, citrus yogurt, and white pepper, evolving into tropical fruits.
Palate
Silky and pure, with layers of cooked agave, roasted pineapple, lemon, and natural vanilla. Smooth and lingering.

Why is El*Arquero 38% ABV?
In the United States, tequila must legally be bottled at a minimum of 40% ABV.
For El*Arquero, we chose 38% ABV because it delivers the best balance of flavour and drinkability. As Eddie Brook explains, this strength allows the agave character to shine through with a softer, smoother finish.
